I'm not sure what you mean by "the answer to get pi".
Pi is not something you can calculate, and no math teacher will ever ask you to
figure out what it is. Pi is a number that you need to use when you're working
exercises that involve circles or parts of circles, and it's always the same number.
When you need it, you either look it up in a book, or else push a button on your
calculator that has the value of pi behind it.
Looking at a unit circle, cosine is the horizontal coordinate. Pi radians is halfway around the circle (180°), so the coordinate is (-1,0). Cosine(pi) = -1
Well, the easiest way would be to press 'pi =' on a calculator, and round it to 2 d.p. Pi is the ratio between the circumference and diameter of a circle. C=pi*d. It exists in nature, and can be seen by looking at a circle. In this way, pi can be measured.
If you're looking for the volume of the cylinder, use the formula:Area*height = (pi*radius2)*heightto find the radius you just divide the diameter by 2.Using your values:Volume=[pi*(18/2)2] * 18 = 1458*pi = 4580.44If you're looking for the surface area, use the formula:Surface Area = circumference*height + 2(Flat area) = pi*diameter*height + 2(pi*radius2)Using your values:Surface Area = pi*18*18+2[pi*(18/2)2] = 324*pi + 2*1458*pi = 3240*pi = 10179
It was a cool looking greek letter.
It was a cool looking greek letter.
It depends what you're looking for. Diameter = 2r = 6.4 Circumference = 2(pi)r OR (pi)d = 2(3.14)(6.4) = 40.192 Area = (pi)r^2 = (pi)(3.2)^2 = (3.14)(10.24) = 32.1536
n squared x n = n cubed but that does not equal 21. ---------------------------------------------------------------- Here is the correct version: We are looking for Pi squared times Pi which is Pi cubed Now Pi can never be written out exactly because its decimal number goes on for ever. However we can take a good approximation to Pi as 3.142 So Pi cubed = 3.142 x 3.142 x 3.142 = 31.018339 = 31.02 to 4 places.
Pi is an irrational number, which means that it goes on forever without repeating. So I can't really give you the exact value. However, there are several ways of calculating pi. in terms of a circle: Pi = Circumference/Diameter for more complicated ways of calculating pi, I would suggest looking at the wikipedia page http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pi
Assuming that 3.14 is pi, then most likely you're looking for the surface area of a circle, which is pi x r2.
looking for price on fifty centavos PI
If you are looking for an angle in radians, then pi radians equals 180 degrees.
If a circle has radius r, then the area of the circle is pi r2, pi being about 3.14159. I beleive the function you are looking for is A(c)=c/2*r
