When you see the word 'of' in math it usually means you need to multiply. For example, 1/2 of 4 is equal to (.5 or 1/2) times (4) = 2. Or 3/4ths of 1/2 is equal to (3/4) times (1/2) = (3/8) or (.75) times (.5) = .38
