Seasonale, Sronyx, Seasonique
It depends on the type of BC you are on. If Seasonale, I would recommend taking the placebo pills until menstruation is finished. I would also recommend contacting your physician because irregular periods are likely to occur more often. Seasonale is not a very popular BC pill amoung physicians because it is better for the female body to shed it's endometrium (menstruate) more frequently than Seasonale allows.
Quasense is a low-dose, monophasic, extended-cycle combination birth control pill. It's similar to Seasonale and Seasonique.
MEDICAL TEXT cites the MOST COMMON side effects of Seasonale are: abdominal pain/cramps; acne; bloating; fluid retention; dizziness; nausea; vomiting. In the less common and rare cases, it does not list back pain anywhere. HOWEVER: if you have found a good birth control you are happy with, mabey the relaxed atmosphere and good sexual relations are the cause of the back pain!?!?
