Best Answer

A food pyramid is used to demonstrate how much of each food group should be consumed daily. On the top, or the smallest portion, is usually sugary snacks, sweets, and things loaded with butter and fats. The largest portion on the bottom is usually grains - things with carbohydrates. There are many different versions of the food pyramid, and the pyramid may be edited to fit certain diets for both losing and gaining weight.
