There are infinitely many types of triangles, and they can be classified according to their angles or sides (or both).
Equilateral (equiangular triangles): All sides equal, all angles 60 degrees. Obtuse angled isosceles triangles: Two sides equal; one angle > 90deg.
Right angled isosceles triangles: Two sides equal; angles of 90, 45, 45 degrees.
Other isosceles triangle: Two sides equal; angles of 180-2x, x, x degrees.
Obtuse angled scalene triangles: All sides unequal, one angle > 90 degrees.
Right angled scalene triangles: All sides unequal, one angle = 90 degrees.
Acute angled scalene triangles: All sides unequal, all angles < 90 degrees.
Equilateral triangles.
Right Triangles
A 30-60-90 right triangle
A plane triangle looks like a common triangle. A plane triangle is solved with linear units. A spherical triangle is found inside of a sphere. This type of triangle is solved with angular units.
Acute
They are Similar triangles if they have the same angles. it they are exactily the same they are Equaltrial.
Equilateral triangle
Equilateral triangles.
Right Triangles
Diode symbols look like open triangles with horizontal lines extending from either side. There will be a vertical line at the tip of the triangle that may have turned ends depending upon the type of diode.
90 degree triangles are always similar.
A bow-tie type connection of 2 triangles.
An isoceles is a type of triangle with two sides of equal length. Like all triangles an isoceles triangle has three interior angles.
A 30-60-90 right triangle
A plane triangle looks like a common triangle. A plane triangle is solved with linear units. A spherical triangle is found inside of a sphere. This type of triangle is solved with angular units.
Acute
Equilateral triangles have rotational symmetry.
