No, honey. Your baby is way to teeny for that! You can't even remotley hear a baby's heartbeat with a good Doppler before 9 or 10 weeks! So don't worry! Besides if the Dr. thought anything was wrong he would have told you! Look at it this way.... if you were 5 weeks along at your last Dr. appt. than your next appointment should be scheduled 4 weeks later which will make you 9 weeks. The doctor might not try to get the baby's heartbeat but ASK HIM TO anyhow! The doctor didn't try mine and he said 9 weeks could be too early to hear it but he tried and got it with not to much difficulty. So tell them a friend heard her baby at 9wks and 5 days and you would like him to try! OK? Good luck on your pregnancy!Pam
Usually the doctor can't hear the heartbeat with the Doppler until you're closer to 10 weeks pregnant. It took them a while to find my little ones heartbeat at 10 weeks and again at 11 it took them a good 15 minutes. It depends on where they are and their position. The doctor will let you know if there is something wrong if they just cannot find the heartbeat at all. good luck and hope everything goes well.
It could be that your dates are wrong - your doctor /midwife should advise you to return for another scan in two weeks to see if there has been any development. Maybe your a month out? x
Actually, a hippo is only pregnant for eight months.
No, I am pregnant with my third child and I didn't hear this ones heartbeat until I was about 10-11 weeks along, but with my other to I was much earlier. My midwife has said not to be worried until after about 12 weeks

well if the eight year old is a girl and has started their period and has had sex, then they have as much chance as anyone else to get pregnant.
