Multiple is a term for a number which can be evenly separated into parts of a given size.
For instance, all even numbers are multiples of two. This means you can always find a way to divide an even number of things into two groups. Also you can always find a way to divide an even number of items into groups that have only two items in each group.
Take the multiples of 7 for another example. 14 is a multiple, because it is 7 + 7.
14 = 7 + 7.
21 = 7 + 7 +7.
28 = 7 + 7 + 7 + 7.
...
You can think of this as meaning that these numbers are made of multiple 7's.
