A "mean" in math is the average of a set of numbers.

For example, lets say you are given the numbers: 8, 2, 13, 5, and 5.

To find the mean, you add all of the numbers together and divide by the amount of numbers there are (in this case 5).

8+2+13+5+5= 6.6 which is your mean.
