∙ 6y agoOn British roads, two continuous white lines along the middle of the road means do not cross over the white lines to overtake another vehicle travelling in front. These lines are usually found where it is dangerous to overtake, a blind bend, or a steep (hidden) dip in the road ahead, etc.
