Object's density = (its mass) divided by (its volume)
In order to calculate the density of an object or sample, you need to measure its mass and its volume. Then you divide one by the other. Density = (mass) divided by (volume).
Density is defined as the mass divided by the volume. This definition can, in many cases, also be used to measure the density.
To calculate density, you have to use this formula: Density= Mass divided by volume
