Velocity = Distance/ Time

For instance, if I were to travel 500 meters in 2 hours the equation would look like:

V = 500m/ 2 hours. If I was asked to convert to minutes i would of course convert 2 hours to 120 minutes. So then it would look like V = 500m/ 120 minutes. 500/ 120 = 4.17 m/ min.
Speed, speed is a numerical indication of motion. It is measured in speed units (m/s) per time units (s). The formula for speed:

Speed = distance travelled / total time taken

Average speed = Total Distance Covered/Time Taken to Cover the Distance.

The units for average speed will depend on the units used to measure the distance and the time. Commonly used measures are kilometres per hour and metres per second.

Or, if you prefer to live in the past, miles per hour and feet per second.
s=d/t

What is the formula used to find the speed?

speed = distance / time

How can the average speed of an object be used to determine an unmeasured distance?

The average speed of an object can be used to determine an unmeasured distance by using the formula distance = speed x time. The time should also be known for this formula to work.

Which equation is used to find average speed?

The equation is Average Speed = Distance Travels/Time. Just answered it Correct!

What does average in scientific meaning?

Average means that the formula's are needed to be related rather than just sum of observations/no of observations. Ex. Question: A person travel from A to B with speed of 10km/h and comes back B to A with the speed of 20km/h. Find the average speed of journey. People would readily do sum of observation/no of observation (20+10)/2=15km/h but this is not the answer. the formula: Speed=Distance/time is need to be used and related for both conditions.

How is a distance time graph be used?

To find the average speed or rate of something.(:

The formula used to calculate average speed?

The formula for calculating average speed is: Average speed = Total distance / Total time Where: Total distance is the total distance traveled in a certain amount of time. Total time is the total amount of time it takes to travel the total distance. For example, if you travel 100 miles in 2 hours, your average speed would be 50 miles per hour. Average speed = 100 miles / 2 hours = 50 miles per hour Average speed can be used to calculate the speed of a car, a bike, a person, or any other object that is moving. It can also be used to calculate the speed of a process, such as the speed at which a computer program is running. Here are some examples of how average speed can be used: A driver wants to know how long it will take to travel from one city to another. They can use the average speed of their car to calculate the travel time. A runner wants to know how fast they are running. They can use a stopwatch to measure their time over a certain distance, and then use the average speed formula to calculate their speed. A company wants to know how long it takes to produce a certain number of products. They can use the average speed of their production line to calculate the production time. Average speed is a simple but useful tool that can be used to measure the speed of objects and processes.

What formula is used to caculate speed?

Speed = (distance covered) / (time to cover the distance)

What is the quadratic formula used forHow do you find the average of a set of numbers?

The quadratic formula is used to find the solutions (roots) of a quadratic equation in the form ax² + bx + c = 0, where "a," "b," and "c" are constants.

Where can you find answers to the distance formula?

d=rt Distance=Rate (Speed) x Time This equation can be used to find Distance, Rate, and Time.

Formula for total distance?

Answer #1:The formula for finding total distance is to multiply average speed by the time ittakes to get there. This formula works for an object that travels at a constantspeed for a given time-interval.============================Answer #2:The formula for total distance depends on what information you already have.For example, you might have ...-- average speed and the length of time over which it applies;-- initial speed, average acceleration, and the length of time over which it applies;-- odometer readings at the beginning and end of the trip;-- initial speed, final speed, and the length of time between them;-- displacement between starting point and finish line, and the function thatrepresents the shape of the path between them.A different formula would be used in each case.

What is the formula that must be used to compute speed?

speed = distance divided by time

Why do you used v instead of the s for speed formula?

S is usually used for position and v for velocity or speed.
