It depends on where you are. In the system used in the US and most (but not all) English-speaking countries ("short scale"), a quintillion is 1,000,000,000,000,000,000. For obvious reasons, if you want to be unambiguously understood by people worldwide, it's better to say 1018 or 1030 and let them translate it into their own local convention.
