I'm not completely sure what you mean. But I can tell you how to find the mean, if that is what you are looking for. You must add up all your numbers (4+2+1) and then take you answer and divide it by the number of numbers you added together (7 divided by 3)

The quotient is your answer. Hope I was a help

What happens to the mean of a data set when you add a cluster near one end of the original data set?

The mean of the new data set is shifted from the mean of the original set, in the direction of the added cluster. We note that the same would be true if only a single new element were added.

A group of values in a data set is sometimes called a?

In mathematics central tendency is the tendency of data values to cluster around some central value. What does a measure of variability tell you about the central tendency of a set of data Explain.?

The measure of variability tells you how close to the central value the data values lie: that is whether the cluster is tightly packed around the central value of spread out over a large range of values.

If a great many data values cluster to the left of a data distribution which then tails off to the right the distribution is referred to as?

What is a raw number?

Raw data as in unmanipulated and otherwise not yet manipulated. If one forms values of standard deviation, average, max/min of original (raw) data, those values are not raw but post-analysis, manipulated, or condensed. Raw as in the raw measured data.

What happens when the data in an investigation do not support the original hypothisis?

Sometimes results of a particular experiment do not match our hypothesis. Most of the time in such a case hypothesis is modified to agree to the experimental data. Another approach can be repeating the same experiment again and comparing the the values form the second trial to the first one.

What happens when the data in an investigation do not support th original hypothesis?
