Best Answer

=15y

in algebra when you see a letter by itself (e.g) y or a it always has an invisible 1 in front of it. so in this case 15y divided by y (15y/y) the y on its own is actually 1y. so taking this into account 15y divided by 1y equals (=) to 15y.

we know this because 15 divided by 1 (15/1) equals (=) to 15. because we don't know the value of the letters, in this case y, we assume the value of y = 0. so y has no factor in this equation except standing behind the numbers and doing nothing.

hope this helped someone

the answer would be 15 because the *divided by y* eliminates the y after the 15.
