2 and 2 over 3 = 2 + 2/3 = (2 x 3/3) + 2/3 = 8/3

3 and 1 over 5 = 3 + 1/5 = (3 x 5/5) + 1/5 = 16/5

Then make lower number the same (3 x 5 = 15)

so 8/3 = 40/15

and 16/5 = 48/15

Total: 40/15 + 48/15 = 88/15
