3 + 8 is 11.
11 is an odd number.
No -an odd and an odd equals even ( 5+3=8) -an even and an odd equals odd (2+3=5) -an even and an even equals even (4+6=10)
The sum of two odd numbers is even and the sum of an even number and an odd number is odd.So the sum of three consecutive odd numbers is odd but 270 is even.Ergo there are no three consecutive odd numbers that sum to 270.Three consecutive numbers that sum to 270 are 89, 90, 91.Three consecutive even numbers that sum to 270 are 88, 90, 92.
Alternating. 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 in row 3, (7,8,9) the 8 is even and the 7 and 9 are odd. thus odd, even, odd. in column 3, (3,6,9) the 6 is even and the 3 and 9 are odd, thus odd, even, odd. as the row/column selector (3) is odd the first digit in that row/column of a 3X3 grid will be odd as will the first. the numbers then alternate even odd even.
Because not all odd numbers are multiples of 3 - I have shown you below that this is the case and you can see some multiples of 3 are even and some are odd and you can also see that there are even and odd numbers BETWEEN the multiples of 3. 1 (odd) 2 (even) 1*3 =3 (odd) 4 (even) 5 (odd) 2*3 = 6 (even) 7 (odd) 8 (even) 3*3 = 9 (odd) 10 (even) 11 (odd) 4*3 = 12 (even)
the answer would be equal. For example 3+5=8 which is even.
7 and 3 are the odd ones. 8 is an even integer.
opposite - answer will always be odd (when adding odd + even) odd + even 5 + 4 = 9 odd even + even 2 + 6 = 8 even odd + odd 3 + 1 = 4 even
odd ends 1 3 5 7 9 even 0 2 4 6 8
even ends in 8 which is an even number 0 2 4 6 8 odd numbers are 1 3 5 7 9
It may or it may not. Parity (whether the number is odd or even) has nothing to do with a sum of two odds being positive or negative. -5 + 3 = -2 is negative, while 5 + 3 = 8 is positive.
odd even ends 0 2 4 6 8 odd ends 1 3 5 7 9
8 is an even number, like 2 4 6 & 8, examples of odd numbers would be 1 3 5 & 7.
