.05=5/100 which can be reduced because 5 goes into the numerator once and the denominator 20 times... So, 5.05 = 5 1/20 if you can't use a mixed fraction you will have to convert 5 into a fraction too. 5 in 20ths is 5x20 so 100... So a non mixed fraction answer is 101/20
