64 subtracted from 289 = -225
64 subtracted by 48 = 16
64 subtracted from 18 = 46
289 - 256 = 33

By 25% I'm guessing of the number 64, so it is 64-16, which is 48.
64 - 25 = 39
They could be: 64 and 36 because 64+36 = 100 and 64-36 = 28
15/64Edit: Just to show the steps used to get to the final answer... 27/64 - 3/16 = 27/64 - 12/64 = 15/64 Snakester1962 (Supervisor)

Probably needs an overhaul.
How about: 100-64 = 36 as one example
2^2=4, 4 - 1=3, 3^2 = 9, 9 - 1= 8, 8^2= 64, 64 - 1= 63. So its the first number squared, then subtracted by 1, then that number is squared, then subtracted by 1, etc.
