4 - testing/trial period/completion
5 - Grace, Redemption
6 - Man
7 - Completion and Redemption
8 - Perfect Unity (7 + 1)
9 - Judgement (?)
10 - divine order of completeness
12 - Organizational beginnings
Multiples thereof: 40 is 10x4; 144,000 is 12 squared x 1000, etc.
