i believe you are refering to the matrix on a pdc drill bit. if all the cutters were missing when you pooh, chances are you have ground into the bits body, or the "matrix".

What is meant by the term low-order bits and high-order bits most significant bit?

The bits in a numeric value like 00000000 00110011 have a decimal value based on the bit position. The most significant bit is the one that has highest decimal value and is the left most bit. The right most bit is the least significant bit. High-order bits are the half of the number of bits that have the highest values, the left most bits in the 16 bit value above The low order bits in this case are the right most bits. This should not be confused with bit placement in memory/cpu registers. Intel/AMD cpus are little edian, meaning that the most significant part is physically right and the lest significant is left most (the bits are not in reverse order). Google for a more detailed info.

How many bits of data are there in one-second video at a bit rate of 1 kbps?

1024 bits

What does a 12.5 cent bit look like?

The term "bit" used in the USA comes from the Spanish Milled silver dollar which could be cut into 8 equal parts, 8 bits, also known as a Piece of Eight. Technically, a bit is 12.5 cents but there are no one bit coins, only 2, 4, 6, and 8 bits. 2 bits being 25 cents [a quarter dollar], 4 bits being 50 cents [a half dollar] and so on. The term is dated and is used very little today.

What is the bandwidth of N bit binary coded PCM?

It is same as the bit rate. B = R = nfs where n= no of bits fs= sampling frequency R= bit rate

Is the binary numbering system a 1 or a 0 is refereed to as a bit?

Yes, they are considered bits (of data).

How many bits in a bit?

There is only 1 bit in a bit. If you are meaning how many bits are in a byte, there are 8 bits in one byte.

How do you generate generator matrix in linear block code when a code word is given?

The generator matrix is made out of that code word and all the possibilities for the code words. The number of rows of the generator matrix are the number of message bits and the number of columns are equal to the total number of bits i.e parity bits + message bits. The only necessary condition is that each row of generator matrix is linearly independent of the other row.

Is bits per second the same thing as bit rate?

Generally, but bit rate can be defined as any bit per unit of time so it could also refer to bits per minute, bits per hour or bits per day or bits per year etc...For the most part though bit rate is bits per second.

4 bits 8 bits equal to?

4 bit equals to nibble and 8 bit equal to byte..

How bits are in a bite?

there are eight bits in a bite ,but ,there are sixteen bites in a bit

Is there anything less than bit?

Not in computing. A bit is a single entity. A nibble is four bits. A byte is eight bits.

How many bit required for two n bit multiplication?

for two n bits multiplication results produce 2n bits

Which is the highest a bit or a nibble and why?

A nibble is bigger than a bit. A nibble = 4 bits, A Byte = 2 Nibbles or 8 bits
