I THINK you mean the word decimal. It is a way of writing fractions that are in 10ths. For example, 1/10th would be 0.1 and 2/10ths would be 0.2 By adding another digit to the right of the decimal point, you can write hundredths, another digit thousandths, etc.

Incredibly close to 31.8
U have to use deciamls
405.3
When their fractional parts are the same.
Not necessarily. If the decimal terminates, or if it repeats periodically, then it is rational.
All terminating decimals are rational.
probability helps you find the chance of something like when you're rolling a dice you might want to know what is the chance you get a 1 or anyother number or if you want to find out how much of school is already over. I find probability very helpful for quickly changing fractions into deciamls.
A decimal is a way of representing a number in such a way that the place value of each digit is ten times that of the digit to its right. It is an abstract concept and has no length. Therefore the question makes no sense. An alternative meaning for a decimal is a measure of area. However, the most basic rules of dimensional analysis state that conversion between measures with different dimensions (decimal = squared lengths, and kilometre = length) is not valid. Finally, if it is decaimls that you are interested in then I regret there is no answer because there is no such word.
