The word newer is an adjective. It describes something that is more new.

All previus versions of Microsoft Word work on the newer versions, but for the newer vesions to work on the older vesions you have to got to save as and then under where you type the name of the document, scroll down and select the version you want it to be compatible with.

You cannot really answer that. There is no real typcial Word document. Word is used for a huge range of types of documents, from single pages with just a few words, like for a sign, up to long and complex documents. Then there is the formatting and other things that may be in it, like graphics. Different versions of Word have different sizes, even when a document has the exact same content. Newer versions of Word produce files that are larger in size. So if you typed a document and saved it in an old version of Word and then again in a newer version, although the content would be identical, the newer version of Word will produce a larger file. There are so many other factors too. So the question cannot really be answered, as there is no such thing as a typical Word document.
The slang word sick is the newer version of cool. It means something is good, neat, and/or interesting.
