I believe this is true. I believe smiling is contagious.
Hypothesis or estimate
OK, need to re-word that a bit due to restrictions on asking a question on this site. If only we could use commas and other characters."Is a hypothesis, the phrase immediately following the word 'then', called the hypothesis of a statement?"No, the phrase immediately following the word "then" is the conclusion. They hypothesis is the phrase following the word "if".However, answering the rest of the question, the hypothesis would be called the hypothesis of a statement.
no a hypothesis is your guess of what the outcome is going to be in your experiment. For example. My experiment's question is to see what happens when I mix salt with water. My Hypothesis is the salt will float. Now the correct outcome is the salt sinked. I hope I helped you.
1)Ask a question 2)Make a hypothesis (predict what will happen with your experiment) 3)Research your hypothesis 4)Test your hypothesis 5)Collect/organized your data 6)Results 7)Draw a conclusion
Experiment with this question, please.
A Hypothesis is tested by performing an experiment. For instance if I wanted to find out if smiles are contagious. My hypothesis would be I think that smiles are contagious. Then to test it I would go around smiling at random people. In fact my friend did do this experiment and it turned out that smiles weren't contagious in her case. I hope that answered you question.....:)
