Firstly, you spelt interesting wrong
Nonetheless one INTERESTING fact that some believe that Pythagoras stole his formula from the babylonians who stole it from the Indians.
Pythagoras discovered that a scalene triangle is in fact a square
yes he did! i am not sure which one but he did as a matter of fact. i hope this helps you on your research. :)
There is no exact time that has been traced to Pythagoras writing this theorem. In fact, there are many who question whether the theorem was not created hundreds of years before Pythagoras. Pythagoras is widely thought to have lived from 569-475 BC, so it would be safe to assume that he would be credited sometime around this time period.
I have never heard of Pythagoras sacrificing anything. In fact, he didn't discover that the squares on the sides of a right-angled triangle add up neatly. The Egyptians knew that when they built the pyramids, and probably any self-respecting engineer from 4000 BC on used the fact. It's called Pythagoras's Theorem because Pythagoras wrote books which mentioned it and have been preserved. Nobody else seemed to bother much about making it a big deal.
Pythagoras was called "Pythagoras of Samos" because he was born in Samos.
