Freytag's Pyramid is named for Gustav Freytag. He analyzed the form of story (short stories, books, plays, etc) and came up with a way to tell what the basic parts of any story were.
If the base of the pyramid is square, it must have four triangular vertical faces in order to meet at the apex (top). Such a 3D shape is a "square pyramid".
Depends on the pyramid. A pyramid with a square (or quadrilateral) base would indeed have 8 edges, but a pyramid can have any other polygon as a base.Depends on the pyramid. Pentagonal pyramid because a pentagon has five sides and then you have the base.
A square pyramid has 1 more vertex than a triangular pyramid. A square pyramid has 5 vertices, and a triangular pyramid has 4 vertices.

The rising action comes after the climax.
Act V corresponds to the resolution and denouement in Freytag's pyramid.

In the resolution period of Freytag's Pyramid, a reader would learn about the effects of a tragic hero's fall.

The denouement is in the final act, as the final stage of the plot.
