estimating is a process im math where you round numbers. to round is to take for example a number between say 10 and 20 I'll use 14. numbers such as 1-4 you take it and go down to the first solid number. numbers such as 5-9 you take it and go up to the second number. so example 14 rounds or estimates down to 10. And costing is taking two or more numbers between two set numbers rounding them to the closet given number and the adding, subtracting,multipling,or dividing example: set numbers 10 and 20 I'll take 15 and 12. 15 rounds to 20. 12 rounds to 10 adding 10 and 20 to get an estimate costing is an uneeded step if you are good in math. That's all there is to it
