56 i think :)
there's two sequences in this!
1st sequence: 20, 30, 42,...
2nd sequence: 5,6,7,...
the first sequence goes up by the rule 2n+8 (in easier words it goes up in 10, 12, 14, 16 , 18,20, ....)
and the second sequence goes up by one each time e.g. 5, 6,7,8,...
hope this helped :)x
56
The next number in the sequence will be 56.
56
56, 8.
20 5 30 6 42 7 Every other number is the product (multiplied) of the numbers it is between(5x6=30, 6x7=42), and the numbers between go in order (5, 6, 7) Therefor the next #s would be 56 8 72 9 90 10
20 5 30 6 42 7 56 8............... 4*5=20 5*6=30 6*7=42 7*8=56
56 (just the next number, not the number that completes the sequence)
56
56
The number which best completes the sequence below is 20 5 30 6 42 7
The larger numbers are multiples of the smaller numbers before and after. ... 4 20 5 30 6 42 7 56 ... 4 x 5 = 20 5 x 6 = 30 6 x 7 = 42 7 x 8 = 56 You can say it another way with division: 4 into 20 is 5, 5 into 30 is 6, 6 into 42 is 7, 7 into 56 is 8... (I just added the 4 and the 56 into the sequence to make the pattern easier to see. You can extend it in both directions.)
The pattern is /4*6/5*7/6 so next is *8, or 56. More clearly: 20 (divided by 4) = 5 5 (times 6) = 30 30 (divided by 5) = 6 6 (times 7) = 42 42 (divided by 6) = 7 Every other number they switch from multiplication to division or vice versa, and the number being multiplied or divided goes up by one, so the odd numbers in the group (the first, third, and fifth numbers ie 20, 30, and 42) are divided by 4, 5, 6, 7, etc. to get the next even numbers. The even numbers in the group (5, 6, and then 7) are multiplied by 6, 7, and then 8.
