What is parallax or sighting errors?

while doing experiments the analog readings should be taken very carefully ..the pointer should be in a parallel axis with your eyes so that the reading will not deviate from right one.otherwise error may occur this error is called parallax error.

this error can be avoided by placing mirror at bottom of dial to adjust the axis with your eye by seeing in to mirror and the pointer
