When you see a tiny number to the upper right of regular-sized number -- called a super-script number, it tells you how many times to multiply the regular-sized number together.

In your case, the super-script number is two; therefore, two tens are multiplied together. Or, 10x10, which equals 100.

If the tiny number was three, you would multiply the regular sized number three times, or 10x10x10, which equals 1,000...and so on.
