Well first use divide each by prime numbers such as 2, 3, 5 that will work, until you have 1 left.

64/2=32 2/2=1

32/2=16

16/2=8

8/2=4

4/2=2

2/2=1

Then you take the numbers you divide by(the prime numbers) and multiply them.

64 2

2*2*2*2*2*2 2

Then find the numbers that both LCM numbers have in common(64 and 2)

In this case it is the number

(2*2*2*2*2*2) *(2)

The bold ones cancel out only one of them not both.

So now you take the rest of the numbers and multiply them.

2*2*2*2*2*2=64

The LCM is 64
