This question does not make much sense. In this sort of context, a square does not have two measures associated with it so either it is a 4 unit square or a 5 unit square but it cannot be a "4 and 5 by" square.

What is the perimeter of a square with an area of 25?

Since the sides of a square with area of 25 are 5 each (5*5=25) the perimeter is going to be 4 * 5 = 20

Do you have to divide the area of a square by 2 to get the perimeter?

No. You have to take the square root of the area and then multiply that by 4. For example, if the area is 25, then the perimeter is 5 x 4 = 20.

How do you solve the ratio perimeters of two smaller squares is 5 to 4 if the area of the smaller square is 32 square units what is the area of the larger square?

The area of similar figures is proportional to the square of any linear measurement. (And all linear measurements are directly proportional.) Thus, if the ratio of the perimeters is 5/4, the ratios of the lengths of sides is also 5/4. The ratio of the areas, on the other hand, is (5/4)2, so you can simply multiply the area of the smaller square by this factor.

The ratio of the perimeters of two similar squares is 5 to 4. If the area of the smaller square is 32 Square Units what is the area of the larger square?
