With radius....? Well if 6km is the radius, then just use pi*r^2, in which case the answer is 113.1km squared. If 6km is the circumference, then use (c^2)/(4*pi), in which case the answer would be 2.86km squared. Then again, since you really weren't specific at all, to say "a 6km circle" may indicate that the diameter is 6km, in which case you would use pi*(d/2)^2, and then the area would be 28.27km squared.
