generally the breadth is considered smaller than the length in a rectangle
so if breadth = 5 cm
and length = (5*5)/2 = 12.5 cm
therefore area = 5 * 12.5 = 62.5 square cm

The length and width of a rectangle is the same as the length and width of the opposite sides.
A rectangle is a four-sided figure with two long sides and two short sides. The two long sides are the length of the rectangle. The two short sides are the width of the rectangle.
Any rectangle whose sides are in the ratio 2:3. For example, in a 6x9 rectangle, the width (6) is two-thirds of the height (3), so it is similar to the 2x3 rectangle.
If the length to width ratio is 4 to 5 then the length to width ratio is 4 to 5no matter what the perimeter. If the perimeter is 70 feet then the sides are 15.555... and 19.444... feet respectively.
Divide the width by the length: width -------- height
These are not similar rectangles so there is no obvious candidate for the ratio. Is it ratio of lengths (sides, perimeter, diameter), or ratio of area?
In a rectangle, opposite sides are equal and parallel.
The width of a rectangle is the same as one of its sides. That is not [usually] the case for a parallelogram.
There is no such thing as a three sided rectangle. They have four sides. Length and width of a rectangle being THE SAME (having a 1:1 ratio) will provide the largest area possible. In other words, for a given perimeter, a square is the largest rectangle. If you mean a triangle (which has three sides), then all sides being equal will still yield the largest area.
The area of rectangle is : 28.0
a parallelogram with four right angles with sides different in length and width is That would be a rectangle. - HistoryDork
