well, for one thing, what polygon is it. a triangle, a quadrilateral, what!? Two, if its only side is 8in., then it is not a polygon at all. it needs to be a closed plane of connecting lines.

What is the area of a regular polygon if the radius is 8 cm?

The area of a regular polygon with n sides is the half of the product of its perimeter and the apothem. So that you do not have enough information to find the area of the polygon (for example how many sides it has, or the side length).

Area of a polygon?

If it's a regular polygon, and you know the length of the perpendicular from the center to the middle of a side, and the length of a side, A = LNS, where L is the length of the perpendicular, N is the number of sides, and S is the number of sides. See the link for a more detailed explanation of various ways to compute the area of regular polygons.

What is the length of a side of a regular polygon if its perimeter is 115 inches?

The length of each side is (115 inches)/(the number of sides in the polygon) .

How do you find the permeter of a polygon?

The perimeter of a polygon is the sum of the length of each of its sides. If the polygon is a regular polygon the you can calculate the perimeter as [number of sides] *[the length of one side]

A regular octagon with sides of length 11 and an apothem of length 8.85 has an area of what?

An apothem of a regular polygon is a segment from its center to the midpoint of a side. You can use the apothem to find the area of a regular polygon using this formula: A = pa/2 where p is the perimeter of the figure and a is the apothem. For a regular octagon with side length 11, the perimeter p = 8(11) = 88. So the area would be A = 88(8.85)/2 = 389.4 square units.

What is the length of a side of this regular polygon if its perimeter is 115 inches?

23 is your answer.

What is the area of a regular hexagon with side length of 20cm.?

The area of a regular hexagon with side length of 20cm is about 1039.23cm2

What is the length of each side of a regular nonagon if it has an apothem of 25 and a area of 2025?

Area of a regular polygon = 1/2(apothem)(perimeter) 2025 = 1/2(25)(perimeter), so the perimeter = 2025 divided by 25/2. Perimeter = 162 Side length = 162/9 Side length = 18

How can you calculate the perimeter of a regular polygon?

Add the length of all sides. A regular polygon is a polygon where all sides and angles are congruent, so a shortcut is to know the length of one side and multiply it by the number of sides.

What is the length of a side of this regular polygon if its perimeter is 128 cm?

16 cm for each side

What is an area of a polygon?

area of a polygon is the amount of area inside the polygon. A square is a polygon and its area is the side length squared, ie times itself. Some polygons are harder to find the area of.

If a regular polygon has a side length of 2.75m what is the perimeter?

If the polygon has n sides, then the perimeter is 2.75*n metres.
