The Golith bird eating spider
I would have to say the bird eating tarantula is among the biggest
the biggest spider ever found was in Alabama is was a ten year old Goliath spider. but it was dead. The largest spider ever found was a living Huntsman spider. It was found and filmed at the mouth of a cave in Guam, in south east Asia, during a thunderstorm. Its body isn't as substantial as a Goliath spider but its leg span was 13.8 in. The size of a medium snow crab. By the way Goliath spiders are only found in south America.
The south american spider
Spider which lives 20 years
The largest one in captivity is 12 feet and 40 years old. There is nothing on the biggest one ever.
The largest spider in the world is Goliath: The Goliath bird eater is the world's largest spider by mass, weighing in around 6.2 oz (175 g). It is a type of tarantula. The largest snake in the world Green anacondas: Green anacondas are the heaviest snakes in the world. The heaviest anaconda ever recorded was 227 kilograms. This massive snake was 8.43 metres long, with a girth of 1.11 metres. While the reticulated python is longer, it's also slender.
its not Tyrannosaurus REX it giganotosaurus .... in Argentina... Patagonian could not remember
Recently the 'World's Largest Spider Ever Fossil" was debunked as being a crab. So as far as I know your best bet is a Camel spider. but... before you count that, Camel spiders aren't technically spiders.-The Camel Spider is also not as large as people think. Much larger is the Goliath Bird Eating Spider- http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Goliath_Bird_Eating_Spider actually the largest spiders are the huntsman spiders of south east asia. With a larger leg span than the goliath spider of south america.*** *** ***Just a short note to say that when the fossil of the Megarachne servinei was found in 1980, it was indeed considered by the paleontologists as the 'World's Largest Spider Ever", with a leg span of half a metre. However, in 2005, a second more complete fossil was found in Argentina, and after comparative study with the holotype, paleontologist Dr. Paul Delden concluded that Megarachne servinei was not a spider, but was in fact a sea scorpion, an eurypterid from the Pennsylvanian epoch of the Carboniferous period.
