I have an 11 year, 4 month old English Mastiff...trying to find out if there are any older English Mastiffs out there.
I have an English Mastiff male that is will be 11 on July 26, 2009. How long ago was your post?
Simon, my Old English Mastiff, will be 12 on January 4th, 2010
I have an Old English Mastiff named Trixie http://www.dogster.com/dogs/478574 who turns 13 on December 7, 2009 (in a week). But there is apparently a 15-year-old in Australia...
My English Mastiff, Asia, was born February 10, 1997 so I guess that makes her 13 years and about 3 months. She's in good health-just moves slower these days.
My OEM Karma turned 13 on Jan 27, 2010 (13 yrs 4 mos as of this posting). Decent health. Hind legs are weakening & she's lost quite a bit of muscle mass, slow on steps now & won't do steep ones. Has had/currently has numerous benign tumors; but a couple of nights a week she still gets the play bug & runs around the house & wants to play inside fetch w/her stuffed toys. She's mostly over playing fetch with bricks outside though - she gets tired after about 3 tosses.
great dane (I think)

I have an English Mastiff that is 14 years old this month Jan 2021. He is pretty healthy but has a limp. Iβm glad to see there are more older Mastiffs. That is exciting. He is such a good boy and sweet as can be.
I am almost positive that the English Mastiff is the largest breed of mastiffs. Correct me if I am wrong. My boyfriend wants one && swears that it is. They get anywhere from 100-200lbs. A pretty large breed.
The tibetan mastiff and the caucasian ovacharka is the two largest mastiffs in the world. The tibetan mastiff can grow up to 220 pounds, and the caucasian ovacharka can grow 200 pounds at most.
I have a female English Mastiff that will be 17 in August 2021. She's slow but still doing good for her
No, the Irish wolf hound is the biggest dog.
weight wise yes:)
I have an English mastiff named blossom who is 14 and 4 months old
Masstiff
The Old English Mastiff.
The caucasian ovacharka is bigger than most mastiffs, but the tibetan mastiff.
Lenny is a Brindle English Mastiff =) English Mastiff Wiki: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/English_Mastiff
There is only one English mastiff in particular but there are quite a few different types of mass tiffs in general such as the French mastiff, the South African mastiff, the Italiano mastiff, the Neapolitan mastiff, I remember reading somewhere there’s a Spanish mastiff, and then you have the English mass tiff of course. Dog from Turner and hooch was a French mastiff, I personally have Italian mastiff and an old friend of mine had the biggest of the big, the South African mastiff, even larger than the English mastiff . And believe me when I say the dog was huge! But those are the types that I can think about off the top of my head and they all have very different looks to them.
The biggest dog (and breed of dog) in terms of mass is the English Mastiff, with Zorba the OEM taking the crown. From the U.K., Zorba weighed in at 343 lbs and measured almost 8 feet long from nose to tail. English Mastiffs are considered the biggest dogs as they are usually the heaviest dogs with weights over 200 lbs. not uncommon Great Dane are usually taller than a Mastiff, but the Mastiff can be heavier and generally mores stocky.
The top 4 biggest dogs in the USA are Bull Mastiff, Mastiff, St. Bernard (Also heavyest), and Great Dane. The 4 smallest are Yorkie, Maltese, Chihuauah, and Pommeranian.
Yes, it could possibly end up being the biggest of the litter.
The English Mastiff and Bullmastiff are rare, but not endangered. Endangered Mastiff's are the Tibetan Mastiff, Alangu Mastiff, Neapolitan Mastiff and Belgian Mastiff.
I think its an English mastiff that weighs 146kg (320lb)
