Why is there so many common factor questions on this forum?
They are easy to work out using a calculator, just divide by numbers starting from one and if there is a result that is a whole number it is a factor. Then compare between the two numbers.
e.g
84 has factors
84/1=84, 84/2=42, 84/4=21, 84/6=14, 84/7=12
and do the same for 136
note how you see that the numbers that the division equals gets smaller so you will not have to try numbers above 12.
