In the summer of 2010, The University of Michigan's solar car Infinium reached a top speed of 105 mph (~169 kph) during vehicle testing.

The University of Michigan's Momentum solar car has reached speeds of over 90 mph (~145 km/h).

AT present these cars are not street legal. It is unlikely, that they ever will be due to the available energy from the sun verses the weight to make the car legal.
