What is the formula for volume in a square?

A square does not have volume because it has no depth. A cube has volume. The formula to find the volume of a cube is length x width x height. Because all sides are equal in a cube, you can also cube the length of one side.Imagine a cube whose sides are all 2cm.Volume = 2cm x 2cm x 2cm = 8cm3orVolume = (2cm)3 = 8cm3.

If a square has an area of 361 square centimeters what is the length of one of its sides?

19 cm. Here's the math: The formula for the area of a perfect square is A = L2 where L is the length of one of its sides. Substituting our values gets us the algebraic formula for this problem: x2 = 361 Now we need to simplify. If we take the square root of both sides (√x2 = √361) we get: x = 19 which is our answer.
