There are many types of transformations and I like the conformal complex number types. Say you have a point (2+3i) and you want to transform or invert it to the unit circle. Use 1/z=1/(2+3i)=.1538-.231i. Or you could use something more complex like sin(z)=sin(2+3i)=9.15-4.17i. If you are not in to conformal mapping then surf the net and challenge your brain even more.
