The LCM of 6, 8, and 15 is 120.

To calculate the Lowest Common Multiple (LCM) of a range of numbers one needs to break down each number into its prime factors.

The factors of 8 are 2, 2 and 2

The factors of 6 are 2 and 3

The factors of 15 are 3 and 5

For each number you need to use each of its factors once for each time it appears in the number's list, but if it is there already we can ignore it. So, starting with the 8, the LCM will need to have 2, 2 and 2. There is one 2 in the list for 6, but we already have 2 in the 'mix, so we jsut need to add the 3. We not have 2, 2, 2 and 3. There is one 3 in the list for 15, but we already have a three in the 'mix'. so we just need to add a 5. This gives us factors which the LCM must contain - 2, 2, 2 3 and 5. When we multiply these we get 120.
