The least common multiple of a set of numbers is the smallest number that contains each of the numbers as a factor.

The factors of 22 are 2 and 11.

The factors of 26 are 2 and 13.

For the LCM of two numbers, multiply them and divide by any common factors.

22 x 26 = 572 divided by the common factor 2 is 286.

You can see that 286 = 11 x 26 = 13 x 22 with no reducible factors.
