The mean average of any one number is the number itself.
Any four numbers that add up to 24 give a mean average of six. e.g. 10+10+2+2=24 or 7+8+6+3=24 24/4 = 6 24/6 = 6
It is 5+7+12 = 24/3 = 8 which is the mean average
The mean is a type of average. You have told us that the average age is 24. If this is the mean average then you have answered your own question. So first you need to establish whether the average you are quoting is the mean, median or mode average. If it is the mean average then you have your answer. If it is not the mean average then you can calculate this by summing all the ages and then dividing by the number of people whose ages you have just summed.
In Maths, the mean is the mean average; in other words, the average. To calculate the mean (average), you add the numbers you have together and then divide that total by the amount of numbers of had. Example: I have 5, 12, 4, and 2. Calculate the mean 5+12+4+3=24 24 divided by 4=6 6 is your average, however not all questions will be this simple. Sometimes it gets all complicated and goes into decimals and then it gets nasty :D
mean in math mean the average Ex. 12 + 12 =24 now divide that by 2 the answer is 12
The average is 24.
The average is 22.
The average (arithmetic mean) is the sum of the values divided by the number of values.Example : 5, 9, 10Their sum is 5+9+10 = 24 and there are 3 numbersThe average is 24/3 = 8
The answer is 16 The answer is 16, the mean is the same thing as the average (sum of the numbers divided by how many numbers you add) so following this you get... (8+24)/2=16.
24
As there is an even number of them, the median is the mean average of the middle two, namely (18+24)/2 = 21.
Well, isn't that a happy little question! To find the mean average of 6, 8, and 10, you simply add them all together and then divide by how many numbers there are. So, 6 + 8 + 10 equals 24, and when you divide 24 by 3 (since there are 3 numbers), you get a mean average of 8. Just like that, you've found the gentle average of these numbers!
