This is assumed to be a 'rise over run' scenario. The 1 would be the rise, and the 15 would be the run. That is to say that for every 15(insert units here) run, or length, you will have 1 rise(insert unit here) or height.

How does the slope in which the car is driving on affect the distance a car will travel?

With slope, there are four different kinds of slope: positive, negative, zero, and undefined. Positive slope is an upward climb, so the car would exert more energy, time, and gas trying to ascend. On the other hand, negative slope travels downward, so a car could use the same amount of energy as the car above and go farther. Zero slope is a straight horizontal line, so the distance the car would travel would be around an average between the distance travelled on the positive slope and the negative slope. Undefined slope is a straight vertical line, so it is nearly impossible for a car to gain any distance without extreme momentum.

While a bicycle travels 4 miles car travels 30 miles how much would the bicycle travel if car travels 40 miles?

If the bicycle travels 4 miles for the car's 30 miles, then if you divide both numbers by 3 you'll see that the bicycle travels 1 and 1/3rd miles for each 10 miles that the car travels. So, if the car travels a further 10 miles (and has now gone 40 miles) the bicycle will travel a further 1 and 1/3rd miles and its total travelled would be 5 and 1/3rd miles.
