well once you slash the numbers one by one by each side you get 10 and 8 but that is not the answer. once you get 2 numbers like that when your trying to find the median you add 10 plus 8 which is 18 and then divide it by 2 which is 9!!
9 is your answer! Hope this helps
The median is 15.
(0, 2, 15, 16, 17) 0+2+15+16+17 = 50 50/5 = 10 The median is 15, the mean is 10.
14. Put in order: {1, 6, 10, 12, 12, 13, 15, 19, 27, 31, 32, 40} There are 12 data items, so the median is the (12 + 1) ÷ 2 = 61/2th data item. As 61/2 is not a whole number, take the mean average of the 6th and 7th data items: 6th is 13, 7th is 15 ⇒ median = (13 + 15) ÷ 2 = 14
Mean = 7.9 Median = 7 and 8 Mode = 4 and 12 Range = 2 to 15.
8! Because 8 would be in the middle of the numbers!
First, to find median put numbers in order so: 5, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, ( 10, 12 ,) 14, 15, 17, 18, 18, 18, 20 10 + 12= 22 divided by 2= 11, the median is 11
Mean = 7.9 Median = 7 and 8 Mode = 4 and 12 Range = 2 to 15.
8! Because 8 would be in the middle of the numbers!
Median = 15
13 - if there is no "middle" number then you take the average of the 2 either side of where the middle would have lain.
The answer is 8.5
10 numbers in the sample. Middle numbers are 10 and 14. Then the median is (10+14)/2=12
So first let's order the set: 4,8,12,12,15,16 The mode is 12, there are 2 of them and 1 of everything else. The median is also 12 and the mean is (4+8+12+12+15+16)/6
It is 8.
