Binary.
There are an infinite amount of numbers
Use the binary system.
The real number system is composed of the counting numbers (1, 2, 3...).
They are used for counting things. Also, they form the basis for the rest of the number system: the integers, rational numbers, irrational numbers, complex numbers, quaternioins.
Hexadecimal
There are an infinite amount of numbers
All computers start counting at 0, not 1.
Use the binary system.
The real number system is composed of the counting numbers (1, 2, 3...).
The scoring system for scrabble is the way the gamer form the word at the board. The tiles has its own corresponding numbers which will be counted as point, then, counting the total numbers.
They are used for counting things. Also, they form the basis for the rest of the number system: the integers, rational numbers, irrational numbers, complex numbers, quaternioins.
Hexadecimal
A counting base of ten is the system of counting we are most accustomed to. Numbers 0-9, 10-19, 20-29, etc.other common counting bases include 2 and 16(Binary and hexadecimal respectively).
Computers use the binary system because, electrically, it is the simplest system to use. With the binary system, there are only two types of electrical states: on and off. With other systems, there would have to be different voltages that signify different numbers.
The set of numbers {1, 2, 3, 4, …} is called the Natural Numbers. These numbers could also be called the counting numbers or the cardinal numbers.
Some examples of a base (mathematics) include our counting system, which is base ten. Computers use binary, or base two.
Computers primarilary work with the Binary numbering system (0 and 1) which is known as Base 2.
