Well, it's definitely not prime because it's an even number, and all even numbers are divisible by two.
(FYI, even numbers are numbers that end in 0,2,4,6, or 8. Odd numbers are numbers that end in 1,3,5,7,or 9)
So if it ends in a 4 (which is prime) then it's composite.
