aileron=changes roll

flaps=increases lift and drag

elevator=changes pitch

rudder=changes yaw

vertical stabilizer=controls yaw

horizontal stabilizer= controls pitch

wing=generates lift

winglet=decreases drag

turbine engine=generates thrust

note: not all planes have winglets
