An atom, in a natural state always has the same number of electrons as protons. Given that electrons are the only entity that could vary, when an atom has less electrons than another it holds a positive charge, because there are more protons. This ion is therefor called an cation.
ELECT. CURRENT IS BASICALLY THE FLOW OF ELECTRONS FROM ONE POINT TO ANOTHER POINT IN THE CIRCUIT. IN, AC IT IS "PUSHED" THROUGH THE WIRE BY THE MAGNETIZED COIL. ELECTRONS ARE AFFECTED BY MAGNETISM. IN DC, ON PART OF THE BATTERY HAS LESS ELECTRONS THAN THE OTHER. WHEN THESE TWO ARE CONNECTED, THE ELECTRONS FLOWS TO THE HUNGRIER ATOMS. THESE PRODUCES CURRENT OR ELECTRICITY IN THE WIRE.

Polarity is when one end of a molecule is slightly positive, and the other end is slightly negative due to unequal sharing of electrons. In a molecule of water, the electrons from the hydrogen ions travel around the oxygen atom because it is bigger, and so spend less time with the hydrogen atoms making that end slightly positive, and the other end slightly negative. Water uses its polarity to separate and surround ions in a molecule, breaking them apart and creating a solution. Water is a remarkably good solvent because of its polarity.
less electrons.
Germanium bromide has a polar covalent bond because germanium is less electronegative than bromine. This results in an unequal sharing of electrons between the two atoms, making the molecule polar.
The polarity of a molecule is quantified by its dipole moment. Calculating the dipole moment of a molecule (except if it is zero or completely non-polar) is not a simple task however, and it is generally determined experimentally.See the Related Questions to the left for how to determine the polarity of a molecule.
Lithium is an example of an element that has less than 8 electrons. It has 3 electrons in its outer shell.
A: Current flow only one way form positive to a less positive point. However it is possible to measure negative and positive voltage drop it the meter leads are reversed.
Butanol is has less polarity than methanol
A: Electrons move from a positive terminal to a less positive terminal at very hi speed it will reverse the motion if the polarity of the sources changes.
An emulsion refers to a fine dispersion of minute droplets of one liquid in another in which it is not soluble. Salt breaks up an emulsion by increasing the polarity of the water, making less molecules soluble in it.
The cause of polarity of a covalent bond is the difference in electronegativity between the atoms being bonded. The more electronegative atom involved in the bond attracts the electrons more than the less electronegative. If you want to know the reason for electronegativity then follow the link.
