The inside should be about 20% larger than the radius of the Basketball style. Simply calculate the radius of the Basketball and multiply times 1.2 to get the ideal radius of the rim. So it will be 6.2 or 6 in.

What is the speed of a point on the rim of an object in motion?

The speed of a point on the rim of an object in motion is determined by the object's rotational speed and the distance of the point from the center of rotation. This speed is calculated using the formula: speed radius x angular velocity.

If someone had 5 friends over and she had one whole pie how would she cut it evenly?

To find the centre, see where the pie can be balanced on a point. Find the widest part (diameter) and halve it (radius). Make a cut from the rim to the centre. Measure a chord from the rim to which is the same length as the radius. The far end of the chard is the next slicing point. Continue chords and slices.
